Alstom has signed a 14-year long-term service agreement worth approximately €30 million for the 260 MW Foshan heavy oil-fired, combined-cycle power plant in South China, some 150 km northeast of Hong Kong.

The deal with the Foshan Shakou Power Plant, comprises the exclusive supply of new gas turbine and compressor components and technical field service supervision for all major inspections of the plant’s two gas turbines. Reconditioning services will also be supplied over the term of the contract.

In 2003, Alstom completed the upgrading of Foshan’s two gas turbines.
