China Gezhouba Group Corp is to invest $1B in the development of a new hydroelectric project in Indonesia, the China Daily Newspaper has reported.
Construction work on the project in the province of Sulawesi Selatan will start next year, with completion expected in 2017. The Chinese firm has reportedly signed a deal with Indonesia’s state power company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to build the plant.
