The announcement comes in the wake of CB&T securing requisite technical and financial resources for re-commencing production.
CB&T CEO Ken Brown remarked that company’s vision of a Supply Train Driven alternative energy facility can alter the industry’s perspective on biorefinaries.
The company is expected to implement at a multi-phased approach with resumption of production at 30 million gallon a year capacity.
Later, capacity is expected to increase to 75 million gallons annually in the next 12 months.
CB&T will utilize a combination of domestic and foreign feedstock, primarily obtained from waste streams.
BDI’s board chairman Alex Edwards III stated, "It is our goal to become a significant participant in the BioFuels Business Segment in the next 24 to 36 months."
CB&T was established by BDI, following the latter’s purchase of Green Hunter BioFuels in October 2012.
