Energy and private equity firms, including Czech Coal, EPH Industrial Energy and BXR are among the bidders for the generating stations, reports Fox Business.
The company is trying to sell the four generators in an attempt to comply with the European Commission’s requirement to limit its share of the electricity market in Czech.
CEZ said it will now assess all offers in a thorough fashion and would decide on these transactions by the end of 2012.
In 2009, the European Commission launched a probe of CEZ for an alleged abuse of the firm’s dominant position in the market.
The company has reached an agreement with the EU regulators that call for the sale of at least 800MW of CEZ’s coal-fired electricity generation capacity.
