“Warner Tool was looking for a bio-degradable and compostable resin with similar mechanical properties to resins we were currently using. The critical factor was the flexural modulus as we needed the proper stiffness for the putty knife blades. Warner also wanted the material melt flow and process temperatures similar to our previous materials to maintain cycle time requirements. Cereplast was of great help in guiding us for composting testing at Cedar Grove,” said Bill Laramy, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Warner Tools Products.
