Central European Distribution Corporation has signed an agreement to be the exclusive importer, marketer and distributor of the Gruppo Campari portfolio in Poland, effective January 1, 2007.
The Campari portfolio includes brands such as Campari, Cinzano, Skyy Vodka, Old Smuggler, Gran Cinzano, Cinzano Asti and Glen Grant.
Commenting on the agreement, William Carey, CEO and president, said: We are pleased to be working with a premium brand portfolio that is very complimentary to our existing portfolio in Poland. This assortment of premium brands is very well-known in the Polish market. We are excited about this new business relationship and the continuing success of our strategy of developing premium brands.
CEDC is the largest vodka producer in Poland and produces the Absolwent, Zubrowka, Bols and Soplica brands, among others. CEDC currently exports Zubrowka to a number of markets around the world and also produces and distributes Royal Vodka, the number-one selling vodka in Hungary.
In Poland, CEDC operates 16 distribution centers and 76 satellite branches and imports leading international brands, including Remy Martin, Jagermeister, Metaxa, and Jim Beam.
