CB&I has received a $40m contract from Bahamas Oil Refining for the construction of storage tanks in Freeport, Grand Bahamas.

Under the terms of the contract, CB&I will engineer, fabricate and construct 14 oil storage tanks with a total capacity of 3.5 million barrels.

CB&I’s scope of work includes detailed engineering design, procurement, fabrication, field construction and mechanical installation, including supporting infrastructure.

The project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2012.

Bahamas Oil Refining Company is owned by Buckeye Partners.
