The value of the FEED contract was not disclosed.
The project work for the NGL plant located in liquefied natural gas (LNG) park in the Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique is expected to increase the LNG capacity of the facility to about 50 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa).
Under the contract, CC JV will provide designs for the initial phase of the Mozambique LNG project of four trains each with 5 mmtpa of LNG production capacity.
The project is the first LNG project in the country, which will process gas from offshore production facilities at Offshore Area 1 and Offshore Area 4.
Mozambique offshore Area 1 is operated by Anadarko Petroleum, whereas the Area 4 is operated by Eni.
The first lot of LNG cargo is expected to be delivered in 2018.
