The tunnel, which will connect the water intake and the pressure shaft, will be approximately 2.4 miles long, with a diameter of 21 to 25 feet. The surge tank, intended to neutralize sudden pressure surges, will be approximately 292 feet high and have a diameter between 16.4 and 27.9 feet. The work will be completed by Cavico Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cavico. Cavico Power expects to complete the work by September 2010.
