Germany-based renewable energy projects operator Capital Stage has acquired a 51% stake in the 12MW Kirchheilinge wind park, located at Thuringia, from Boreas Energie.

Boreas Energie will continue to hold 49% stake in the project that is expected to be completed in December 2014.

According to Capital Stage, all permissions and land plot rights associated with the project have already been received.

The company said five wind power projects of the type Nordex N117 with a hub height of 141m, a rotor length of 58m each and a nominal capacity of 2.4MW each are being employed.

Capital Stage CEO Felix Goedhart said the transaction would enable the company to expand its portfolio to around 100MWp respectively within a period of five months.

"Thus we have again proven to be able to find attractive and very profitable investment properties in the wind and solar sector even in times of changing market environment and declining feed-in-tariffs," Goedhar added.
