Cantex Energy has acquired Canada-based private oil and natural gas company Arkose Energy.
Arkose has oil and gas development properties and prospects in Texas and the Rocky Mountains.
Cantex claimed that Arkose is focusing on acquiring and developing low-risk potentially high return projects in the US.
Arkos Energy CEO Bill Kerrigan said the geological, engineering, and operational synergies that both companies will achieve together provides the critical mass needed to successfully compete in acquiring and developing additional oil and gas reserves.
"We feel that by combining our efforts with those of Cantex Energy works to the strengths of both companies in providing our combined shareholders the best opportunity to realize their oil and gas investment goals," Kerrigan added.
