The ground-mounted solar power plant, located at Villeneuve de Marsan, Aquitaine, has an installed capacity of 8MW.
Canadian Solar has supplied its 35,000 CS6P 230W modules for the new solar installation.
The power plant is expected to provide the equivalent, in terms of production capacity, to the average annual electricity consumption of 2,500 households.
In addition to EOSOL and the Caisse des depots et des consignations, EIFFAGE group company FORCLUM was responsible for the electrical installation and Siemens, for the supervision, conception and construction of the plant.
