Klohn Crippen Berger has acquired Calgary-based consultant Mack, Slack & Associates in a move to strengthen it water resources capabilities in the province of Alberta. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Mack, Slack & Associates specialises in water resource engineering. The firm has undertaken projects predominantly in the province of Alberta that include work for Cavalier power plant, dam and reservoir, the McGregor reservoir structures project, the St Mary dam spillway replacement, and the 80MW Dunvegan hydro scheme for Glacier Projects.

klohn-crippen Berger is an international multi-disciplinary consultant and its projects have included work on the Seymour Falls dam seismic upgrade, the 170MW Arrow Lakes plant in British Columbia, the 7MW Irrican hydro scheme in Alberta, and bid and design services for two civils works packages on the Nam Theun 2 project in Lao PDR.
