The new Sentry 4G is initially released for use in the 900 MHz ISM band, applications include smart grid communications, streaming video, mobile data, high speed SCADA/Telemetry, fleet management, video surveillance and a host of other mission critical applications.

Sentry 4G provides high-speed, long-range broadband wireless connectivity based on industrial grade IEEE 802.16e-2005 (mobile WiMAX) technology and also supports an embedded Wi-Fi module. Ensuring the protection of even the most sensitive data, Sentry 4G combines routing capability with security features such as AES 128-bit encryption, RADIUS authentication and FIPS 140-2 compliance. The Sentry 4G platform includes an easy-to-use configuration interface and a comprehensive SNMP remote management system.
