The OPS software has been designed to track, trace and control assets, supply chain and people of small, medium and large scale companies.
The contract, which could exceed £200,000, will see C-SAM design, install and provide training on OPS that will track OSCA’s over 2,000 assets at multiple sites across the world, including the UK, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Russia, West Africa, Singapore and Sakhalin.
C-SAM managing director Theresa Wheeler was quoted by aberdeenbusinessnews.co.uk as saying that OSCA is a global operator with a large equipment rental fleet, which is in demand in some of the most remote parts of the world.
"It is important that OSCA know their fleet is working efficiently and that any unit or piece of equipment can be traced and tracked at the press of a button," Wheeler added.
"Our OPS system will provide OSCA with a 24/7 overview of the supply chain and ensure each asset is working to its full potential. Once in place OPS will help maximise rental income by identifying black spots where assets are not producing the expected return, and enable problem areas to be quickly addressed."
OSCA Group operations manager Suni Smith told the website that containers are like a pack of cards, which get shuffled around the world and they need a robust and flexible tracking system which can tell us where their containers are at any given time.
"This will provide greater clarity over all operations, speed up our processes, improve control and ultimately benefit our clients through a higher quality of service. The C-SAM system will ensure we are optimising the use of our equipment and it has the flexibility to be expanded as we grow our business," Smith added.
