Under the terms of the contract, BUMA will work in overburden removal with a total volume of 261 million bank cubic meters (bcm) and transportation of 29 million metric tons of coal.

The contract will be effective from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2017.

BUMA is a subsidiary of PT Delta Dunia Makmur in which a consortium of Northstar Tambang Persada hold 40% stake and rest is held by the public.

Recently, the company also signed a contract extension worth $640m with PT Gunungbayan Pratamacoal, a subsidiary of Bayan Resources.

Buma will also work for Gunungbayan for overburden removal with a total volume of 260 million bcm from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2017, reports The Jakarta Post.
