Bullfrog Power Inc. (Bullfrog) has announced that it will provide Vaughan Mills with 100% green and carbon-free electricity. The shopping centre’s green power purchase is equivalent to 50% of the usage of its common areas. To provide the electricity, Bullfrog will inject EcoLogoM -certified green power onto the Ontario electricity grid to match the amount of power used in the common areas of the shopping centre. Bullfrog’s power comes from clean, emissions-free wind and low-impact hydro sources.

“We are pleased Vaughan Mills is now a part of our green power partnership,” said Tom Heintzman, president, Bullfrog. “The decision to choose clean, green power helps support the development of new renewable generation in Ontario, which is good for our communities and future generations.”

“At Vaughan Mills, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint and we know that our tenants and shoppers also support these responsible business practices,” said Jamie MacLean, marketing director, Vaughan Mills. “Choosing green power allows us to continue our commitment to sustainability.”
