Building Turbines president and CEO John F Graham said the installation of the company new control center is an important strategic milestone for Building Turbines.

"By providing state of the art monitoring systems for any turbine installation, we gather important data that benefits our continued R&D efforts and gives us the ability to securely and remotely monitor the performance of our customers’ on premise installations," said Graham.

The new control center houses the electrical equipment for the Austin turbines as well as data monitoring systems for the current Austin and Corpus Christi turbines.

The control center was designed to include the capability for adding future locations.

The monitoring systems include sensors at the turbine locations to measure wind speed, direction, turbine RPMs and power output.

The data from the sensors is fed directly to the Austin Control Center, including live video feeds, all of which can be accessed remotely by authorized customers and Building Turbines personnel.
