The Golden Ridge #1-H is the first well in Breitling’s two-well horizontal Golden Ridge Prospect.
The well is planned to be drilled vertically to a depth of approximately 4,900ft and then 4,100ft horizontally through the oil-bearing Cleveland Sand.
The Golden Ridge Prospect is a shallow stratigraphic oil play with relatively low geologic and economic risk with the potential to drill up to 8 horizontal wells.
The Cleveland is suitable for horizontal drilling due to high volumes of oil in place and reliable predictability of sand deposition.
Breitling Oil and Gas is a US-based independent exploration and production firm and its focus areas include the US states of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
