The contract, which is expected to commence during the second half of 2014 and be completed in 2015, will involve coating around 148km of 32 pipe with concrete weight coating.

The South Stream Offshore Pipeline system, which includes four pipelines, will cross the Black Sea and transport gas from Russia to Bulgaria and on to Central and Southern Europe.

ShawCor said that the contract will be executed at the Bredero Shaw pipe coating facility in Leith, Scotland.

ShawCor, which provides products and services for the pipeline and pipe services and petrochemical and industrial segments of the oil and gas industry, operates through eight divisions with around seventy-five manufacturing and service facilities.
