Brazil intends to cooperate with Vietnam in the field of energy production in Vietnam. Brazil will consider providing financial assistance for energy projects in Vietnam, together with technology transfers and energy plant construction. Financial support may come by the way of funding from the Brazilian government or preferential financing by Brazilian banks for energy projects. With large financial reserves, the Brazil Central Bank has the capacity to provide loans to feasible energy projects.

The Brazilian government has also drawn plans for a program for energy production development projects with foreign partners.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Dr Vu Tien Loc said that he was sure that Vietnam will work hard to create favorable conditions for businesses from both nations to work together on the development of energy production.

Brazil’s expertise in the hydro-power generation is quiet famous and the country has world’s largest hydro-power plant. Brazil is also a leading nation in the development of renewable and clean energy.
