The contract for the work on the facility’s unit 3 has gone to VA Tech Hydro, and is to include the supply of a new runner, distributor, turbine shaft and governor with corresponding hydraulic unit.

Equipment, says VA Tech, is to be delivered within the next 13 months, while the company’s engineers will also oversee its installation. The power plant is expected to be fully commissioned within 23 months of the award of the contract.

The facility is run by Elektroprivreda Bosne I Hercegovine, Bosnia’s largest electricity utility.
