It is anticipated that many of the sub-contractors initially engaged by South Midland Construction (SMC) will be retained by GMC to complete the project.
Bord Gais stated that work will resume in March 2008 along the N5 and within the towns of Westport and Castlebar, where 85% of the feeder main has been completed. This work is expected to be completed by August 2008.
The Castlebar and Westport works are part of the E40 million Gaswest project, which will bring natural gas to towns in the Mayo and Galway area of Ireland.

We will liaise with the relevant local authorities, organizations and residents in planning this work and their co-operation and patience is greatly appreciated.
