Irish Republic gas company Bord Gaís has signed a €100 million, 17-year deal to acquire wind power capacity from the Sorne Windfarm, in County Donegal.
The wind farm, located on Sorne Hill and Meenkeeragh Hill, east of Buncrana, will comprise 16, 2 MW turbines and is scheduled to be operational by next June.
