The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is considering to rebuild a 115kv transmission line between Kalispell and Polson in Montana, US.

BPA project manager Amanda Williams said the utility constructed the 41-mile Kalispell-Kerr transmission line in 1947.

The manager said that BPA has taken the decision as regular maintenance and inspections cannot keep up with the work needed on the 66-year old line.

The utility has planned public meetings on 17 June in Polson and 18 June in Kalispell, reported Billings Gazette.

BPA will complete an environmental impact statement this summer, while the earliest construction is most probably expected to begin in 2016.

Williams said the cost of the project has not yet been estimated. The cost will be estimated only after the engineers complete their research work.
