Bobcat Gas Storage has reported the commencement of an open season for firm storage service from its natural gas storage facility in St Landry Parish, Louisiana.

The Bobcat Project provides customers interconnections with five interstate pipelines including Texas Eastern Transmission, Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Company, Florida Gas Transmission, Gulf South Pipeline and ANR Pipeline.

Bobcat is conducting an open season for 2.4bcf of firm storage capacity, offering 2 to 4 turn service.

The company said that the open season will extend from May 24, 2010 to June 14, 2010 and all details will be included in a package provided by Bobcat. Any party interested in contracting for Bobcat storage service must submit a complete bid before the June 14, 2010 deadline.

Bobcat will offer customers service under its FERC-approved tariff and market-based rates.

Port Barre Investments is doing business as Bobcat Gas Storage, which is headquartered in Houston, Texas and owned by members of management, Haddington Energy Partners III, a private equity fund managed by Haddington Ventures and GE Energy Financial Services, the energy investing unit of GE.
