The EV charging stations at each BMW i Center will run as part of the ChargePoint network.
As part of the deal, ABM will provide installations and BMW i branded ChargePoint charging stations for participating BMW i Centers in the US and Canada, and will also serve as BMW’s preferred service provider for these charging stations.
BMW of North America EV infrastructure manager Robert Healey said, "Our collaboration with ABM and ChargePoint will provide our BMW i Centers with the charging infrastructure expertise and preparation for the arrival of the BMW i3 and BMW i8 in the United States and Canada."
ABM will run around 300 participating BMW i Centers in both the countries, while the company has sold or installed around 700 commercial, public and workplace EV charging stations in the US.
