The solar PV facility will be a ground mount system, located in a 140 acre field in Lake County.
The facility will be built in stages starting with 10MW in 2012, and will be equipped with 174,000 monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV panels from Advanced Solar Photonics and other manufacturers.
The solar facility is expected to generate approximately 64,000,000kWh annually, which is equivalent to the annual energy use of roughly 8000 area homes.
The annual power generated from the solar plant will displace over 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.
