Neo Solar Power has agreed to provide at least 10MW of its high efficiency solar cells for an equity stake in the power project, which is currently under construction in Lake County.
Advanced Solar Photonics, BCE’s manufacturing subsidiary, will convert the cells will into solar panels.
The Sorrento solar farm is located on land owned by BCE, gently sloping from north to south and adjacent to two substations owned by Progress Energy Florida and SECO.
BCE has signed LOIs with other solar panel and cell producers to contribute their products in the first 40MW stage of the Sorrento solar farm.
