Australia-based Blackthorn Resources’ wholly-owned subsidiary Blackthorn Resources Burkina Faso (BBF) has received renewal of the two base metal exploration permits in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

BBF owns 100% of Poa and Guido permits, which now cover 99.5km² and 132.33km² respectively.

About a quarter of the tenement area has been relinquished on renewal of these permits as required by the Mining Code. The latest renewal is the third and final three -year period of the permits since they were first granted in July 2007.

The Poa and Guido exploration permits are included in Blackthorn’s Northern Tenements, and cover a total area of 443.23km².
