With a horizontal lateral length of 800m, the well will be spudded from a surface location at 16-1-26-25W3.
The company has used its 3D seismic and existing well control system for establishing trajectory at the horizontal well, while the company holds 70% operated working interest in the project.
The horizontal well cost is expected to be around $1m, which includes drilling, completion, equipping and installing surface facilities.
Blackbird said that the planned horizontal well is the follow-up to the successful A15-6-26-24W3 discovery well, which is producing in excess of 20bbls per day with minimal water.
