Before coming to Black Hills, Mr Ketchum was Aquila’s manager of investor relations, and during his six years at Aquila, he held various positions within the energy marketing and corporate divisions including senior manager of e-business, weather risk management business development manager and senior issues strategist analyst in the office of the CEO.

In his investor relations role at Black Hills, Mr Ketchum will be responsible for interactions with market analysts, investors and other financial stakeholders. He will begin his new role at the close of Black Hills’s acquisition of Aquila’s natural gas and electric utility properties in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.

He will report to Lynn Wilson, senior vice president of communications and investor relations, who will also assume her new role at the close of the Aquila transaction.
