BJ Services recently started operations with equipment mobilized from its base in Dubai. To provide these services, the company is using its ChromeMaster (TM) minimal marking nonferrous tubular handling system, the full-mounted spider (FMS), Salvo (TM) graphical analysis system, and fill and circulate tool (FAC), which gives effective fill-up of casing string while running. The chrome tubular completions will be run in water depths of up to 990 feet (302 meters).

As the tubular services group expands globally, India continues to be an extremely important market for us. We have operated in India since 1998, and provided casing and tubing running and hammer conductor driving services to a number of key operators in the region, said Kenny Watt, BJ Services, vice president of Tubular and Completion Assembly Services.

In 2007, BJ Services successfully concluded a well services contract to offer torque-turn services for this operator offshore Kolkatta in the Bay of Bengal in India.
