Mr Maguire will replace David Kornder. Mr Kornder is reportedly resigning to pursue the opportunity to become the CEO of an oil and gas company.
Mr Kornder will remain with the company through June 30, 2008, and has agreed to make himself available thereafter to the extent required and practical.
BioFuel has said that Mr Maguire serves as the executive vice president of Pendum, an automated teller machine servicing firm. He has previously served as the CFO of TMJ Implants, a medical device manufacturer from 1996 to 2000.
Thomas Edelman, BioFuel’s chairman, said: We are delighted Kelly will be joining BioFuel’s management. He has had extensive financial and accounting experience and has served as a senior executive of two impressive companies.
