Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh state, is developing the project, which is expected to generate approximately 1,770.68GW of electricity per year.
Press Trust of India cited BHEL as saying that Bhel commissioned four units of the 412MW hydro power plant of SJVN.
The Rampur power plant will comprises six vertical axis Francis turbine units of 68.67MW each.
BHEL had commissioned the first three units of hydro project earlier in March while the remaining two sets are scheduled to be commissioned by Bhel in near future.
The company’s work scope for the project comprise supply, erection and commissioning of turbines, generators, control and monitoring system (SCADA), associated station auxiliaries, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and other electrical and mechanical equipment.
