Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has connected hydro and thermal power projects, with a cumulative capacity of 1,625MW, to the national grid in India.
The four power projects include 525MW Unit-2 of Maithon Power, 500MW Unit-2 of KPCL Bellary, 500MW Unit-2 of DVC Durgapur and 100MW Unit-4 of THDC Koteshwar hydro plant.
The Maithon and the KPCL Bellary projects are located in the Indian state of Jharkhand, while the DVC Durgapur project is in the state of West Bengal.
The THDC Koteshwar plant is located in the state of Uttarakhand.
With this, the total power project capacity commissioned by BHEL in the current year until 23 March, 2012 stands at 7,900MW.
