Spanish engineering firm Tecnicas Reunidas has also been contracted by Berkeley to undertake an independent review of the project.
Berkeley said that the recent initiatives are consistent with its decision to exploit, as required by a cooperation agreement with ENUSA, based on the outcomes of the restricted mining domain feasibility study.
According to the company, the restricted MDFS was prepared in conjunction with a number of international consulting firms and confirms the feasibility of the project.
