The power plant will comprise two generator units, each with a capacity of 20 megawatts, while the conveyor belt will be built at its Binungan coal mine site.
Antara news agency quoted BRAU president director Eko Santoso Budianto as saying, the company will invest to build a conveyor belt and power plant.
"Thus, when the projects are done, hope prices will be at equilibrium," Budianto added.
The company is expecting to reach its coal production to 23.5t this year and has plans to produce 34 million tons of coal by 2017.
Berau Coal operates three active mining sites including Lati, Binungan and Sambarata in East Kalimantan, Indonesia and supplies coal to customers in Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and Thailand.
