The company has been contracted to build the plants which will liquefy coal seam gas ready for export for two customers, GLNG and Australia Pacific LNG, a joint venture between Conocophillips, Origin and Sinopec.
GLNG is a consortium of Santos, Petronas, Total and Kogas.
Under the contract, Metito will design, fabricate and supervise and install initial equipment including seawater reverse osmosis desalination plants and sewage treatment plants to be used for the construction sites at GLNG.
The company also provided demineralization systems which employ reverse osmosis and electrodeionization for Australia Pacific LNG, as well as oily waste treatment systems for GLNG.
The demineralized water is used for the Acid Gas Reduction Unit and turbine wash.
