The 200-mile line will start at Basin Electric’s Antelope Valley power station near Beulah and connect to the west to a substation near Grassy Butte.
The proposed line from there would run northwest to Williston, then back northeast to Tioga.
Furthermore, Basin as part of the project aims to build two new electric power substations.
PSC president Tony Clark said the high-voltage line will help serve the growing electricity needs of western North Dakota’s oil industry.
Basin Electric expects to start construction on the transmission line in 2014, reports inforum.com
