Basic Earth Science appoints interim principal accounting officer

Basic Earth Science Systems, an oil and gas exploration company, has appointed Joseph Young as its interim principal accounting officer.

Mr Young will assume the responsibilities previously performed by David Flake, CFO, prior to his resignation in February 2008. The company has recently promoted Melissa Temple from assistant controller to the position of controller.

Ray Singleton, president of Basic Earth Science Systems, said: We are excited about the appointment of Mr Young. Mr Young not only brings ‘new blood’ to the company, but a wealth of new energy and excitement. He will be instrumental in the preparation and completion of this year’s Form 10-KSB in addition to our initial compliance and management certification pursuant to Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley.
