These electric drive systems will be integrated into electric buses, heavy-duty trucks, light commercial vehicles and automobiles throughout China by DynaProTech, which will also be providing servicing and parts for Balqon’s products.
The dealership agreement with DynaProTech will help Balqon establish a foothold in the EV market of China, which is expected to increase spending in the alternative-energy vehicle industry to more than $14.8bn during the next 10 years.
DynaProTech, representing Balqon’s sixth international dealer agreement since the beginning of 2010, is preceded by agreements with Argentina-based Autoelevadores Yale, Colombia-based Industrias Ivor, Electric Cars of Costa Rica, Mol Transportation Solutions in Europe and Km. Verde in Spain.
Balqon president and CEO Balwinder Samra said that DynaProTech’s existing customer base in the automotive sector will expedite its ability to promote its technologies to a growing base of original equipment manufacturers seeking zero-emissions technologies.
“In addition, we believe that our relationship with DynaProTech will also allow us to showcase our flux vector motor controllers and battery management systems to manufacturers of electric buses, trucks and automobiles in China,” Samra said.
