The Nautilus XE20, which is claimed to carry up to 30 tons of cargo at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour, is designed for ‘in-terminal’ operations to transport containers at shipyards, rail yards, intermodal facilities, industrial plants and distribution warehouses.
The addition of Balqon’s electric truck to Beltway International’s existing line of electric medium-duty vehicles will enable the company to help its customers reduce their carbon footprint, thereby reinforcing its sustainable initiative to focus on green technology.
Balqon president and CEO Balwinder Samra said that the company is excited to partner with a company that has been widely recognized for setting industry standards for green operations.
