The news source reported that Azerbaijan has realized such a similar investment strategy in Georgia, where it setup a network of six filling stations under the Socar brand in April 2008.
Victor Yushchenko, the president of Ukraine, as quoted by the news source, said: At present we are involved with a workgroup formed from specialists of ministries of energy, oil and gas of both countries. The first report of the group and first availability estimations are expected to be received on July 1, 2008. The investors are working over the filling station project in Ukraine and they will get an opportunity to export oil products to European Union countries.
