Westinghouse Process Control, a business of Emerson Process Management, has announced the availability of Ovation 2.1, extending the ability of its Ovation information and control system to solve automation issues facing power plants and water facilities.

HART I/O, Foundation fieldbus, Fast Ethernet, and Scada Server support are among the key enhancements now available with Ovation.
Hart I/O and Foundation fieldbus support directly link the Ovation DCS system to intelligent devices in the field, allowing operators to easily gather information from plant equipment as well as from process control sensors through Emerson Process Management’s Asset Management Solutions (AMS) software.
