According to the partnership agreement, Schneider Electric will integrate AutoGrid’s Energy Data Platform into its Wiser home management system, a solution that connects utilities and consumers, enabling homeowners to better control energy consumption.

Powered by AutoGrid, Wiser will allow utilities to reduce peak power, curb emissions, and improve energy productivity to effectively utilize more of the electricity that is generated on the grid by enabling users to have a closer connection to their energy information.

Schneider Electric will also resell AutoGrid’s Demand Response Optimization and Management System (DROMS), a cloud-based demand response service, to utilities and energy service providers in North America.

Schneider Electric vice president strategy and business development Yann Kulp said, "Demand response technologies provide utilities with a wealth of new capabilities — controlling peak power is just the start. The Wiser home management system is also enabling utilities to empower homeowners by giving them easy access to their energy usage."

"By collaborating with AutoGrid, we will be able to reduce the cost and complexity of implementing these systems and introduce these capabilities to a wider spectrum of customers and end-consumers." Kulp added.
