The 4,000m drilling will extend the resource on the Sadi deposit where mineralization is said to be open to the south, and test several strong radiometric targets that not been drilled earlier.

Aura Energy executive chairman Peter Reeve said: "This program is very important in Aura’s drive to complete the Tiris Project Feasibility Study in a timely manner.

"The shallow depth of the Tiris deposit means drilling is quick and simple with each hole taking no longer than a few minutes to complete minimising cost."

The Hippolyte deposit will be the key target of drilling and drill spacing will be reduced to 50m by 50m in zone 1 from the existing 100m by 200m.

In Hippolyte zones 2 and zone 3, the drill spacing will reduce to 50m by 100m, to categorize the resources as indicated.

At Sadi South, previous drilling found that mineralization extends at least 1km to the south with uranium grades of 4.5m at 850ppm U3O8.

Various radiometric anomalies near to Aura’s Ferkik resources will also be drill tested and drill spacing at this deposit will reduce to 100m by 100m.
