Atlas Copco has received an order from Celikler Jeotermal Elektrik Uretim A.Sof Turkey to supply equipment for a turnkey geothermal power plant in the Aydin province of Turkey.

The company will supply two turbo expander generator trains that will deliver a total of 45MW of clean energy.

The plant, which will use Organic Rankine Cycle technology, will be built in the geothermal field at Pamukoren and is expected to begin operation in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The consortium partners of Atlas Copco for this project are process-design company Exergy and air-cooled condenser specialist SPIG.

Atlas Copco provides compressors, expanders and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, power tools, and assembly systems.
