The first four of these projects, which were 750kW ground mounted systems, were commissioned at the beginning of November 2011 in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
The four solar systems are expected to produce 4.23GWh of energy annually, which is enough to support over 350 homes annually.
The Tennessee Valley Authority will purchase the electricity produced by the solar systems, through its Generation Partners Program.
Germany-based firm Solmotion has developed these projects.
