Full year 2008 bookings of EUR637.7 million, down 31% from the full year 2007.

Both our Front-end and Back-end segments achieved positive cash flows from operations in the full year 2008.

Net sales in the fourth quarter of 2008 were EUR150.9 million, down 21% from the third quarter of 2008 and down 36% from the fourth quarter of 2007.

Net loss in the fourth quarter of 2008 was EUR6.2 million, or EUR0.12 net loss per share, as compared to net earnings of EUR2.4 million, or EUR0.05 diluted net earnings per share for the third quarter of 2008 and net earnings of EUR19.1 million, or EUR0.33 diluted net earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2007.

Full year 2008 and fourth quarter 2008 net earnings were impacted by EUR3.9 million write-off on RTP inventory and EUR7.1 million impairment charges on fixed assets of ASM Europe in the Netherlands, related to the restructuring as announced in January 2009. Furthermore full year 2008 was impacted by EUR1.4 million impairment of goodwill in the second quarter 2008.

Bookings in the fourth quarter of 2008 were EUR80.9 million, down 54% from the third quarter of 2008. Bookings from our Front-end segment were down 20% and bookings from our Back-end segment were down 73%. Year-end backlog was EUR90.7 million, down 44% from the end of the previous quarter.
